I was born in Rahway, NJ but raised in Perth Amboy. I was never afraid to take risks and was the girl with “big unrealistic dreams” as my mother would say. My passion has always been modeling, fashion, and make up. My family never really liked the idea of the industry and wanted me to take the “Safe Path”. After denying a full ride scholarship to Rutgers University with a mathematics major; I decided to pack my bags and attend the Fashion Institute of Technology. Going to FIT straight out of High School was a huge risk for me. The reality was I didn’t want to go to college, but it was the only way my mother let me chase my dream. There was no negotiating with her; I had to go to college period. FIT was perfect because not only was I getting my degree, but at the same time I was chasing my dream. (She just had no idea why I even chose FIT). I honestly just wanted to get away from home and chase after my modeling career.
During my second semester of college, my whole life changed. I lost the most important and influential person in my life; my mother. She passed away at the age of 39.Then, unfortunately, I had to put my modeling dreams on hold and do what she wanted me to do. (which was getting a degree). Becoming an independent student and working full-time was very difficult for me. However, I managed and during my time at FIT I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Fashion Merchandising Management. I got the opportunity to study abroad in Paris and Italy where I completed a Cosmetics Fragrance Marketing program and diversified my knowledge of the beauty industry in a European marketing vision. I gained marketing experience from interning at COTY as a Global Marketing Intern for fragrances for the brands, Celine Dion, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, and Beyonce.
I would like to bring you into my world. Where there will be nothing but positive vibes, lots of love, inspirations, and hopefully a role model to those who somewhere along the way feel stuck. I will be sharing my portfolio so you can see my creativity through the lens of a camera. My blog, where there will be a representation of my everyday life experiences and I will open myself up and introduce you to my inner soul. You will get to know who I truly am.
One of my favorite quotes “When you go through a tragedy, you can either let that destroy you and you become bitter and never let it go, or you can let it make you stronger and let it make you grow.” Evanescence.
Life is very short, after losing my mother and finally letting go of her It took me about four years to really truly get to know who I am and grow into the woman who I am today. I am a true believer that we are all born with a purpose on this earth. Once you find your purpose do not allow anyone to stop you from achieving your goals. The sky is the limit and yes, sometimes life can get difficult but nothing is impossible.
